Nice to know that the CDC has a sense of humor.
No weapons on the list? What's your weapon of choice? LP? Cricket bat? Pool cue? Let us know!

The Centers for Disease Control created "Zombie Apocalypse Preparedness 101" in an effort to get more people thinking about emergency preparedness plans. The CDC has put together a "Zombie Survival Guide," which identifies the cause of zombies and provides some tips about preparing not only for the "Zombie Apocalypse," but also for real emergencies.
I guess it's not quite as dumb as I thought.
I remember when they first posted this, everyone was jamming the site to see it...and no one could! Still super awesome :)
(by my old email notes, it was originally posted and advertised on the news May 19, 2011)
I didn't realize it was old. Has it been posted to NV before?

(especially the last one, because KO blamed me for the crash) :P
LOL! That's OK, NN9. We need to be ready now, more than ever. Neale has been training us, so we're ready for the zombie battle!
etva, you just think you're ready. We, er, those zombie makers still have a few tricks up their sleeves...
Uh oh. It's the turtle, isn't it? I keep moving the flattened shell out of the road, but it keeps reappearing right in front of my house... EEK!
Not saying. It could be the turtle. But when you think about it, you are surrounded by dead things. Insects and all kinds of other creatures. You never know what might be buzzing or lumbering about in the night, do you?
LOL! Yeah, lots of dead things hanging out. Generally they don't bother me -- except when they move:)
Forgot I did one too:

:)
You're killin' me...voted up ; ) (turned some 4's into stars too, if you're at all into that sort of thing).
still waiting for the vampire/blood donation, werewolf/vaccination, Frankenstein monster/organ donation thing to catch on though :(
LOL! I missed this article too! Don't know how that happened. Must have been before I met Neale and was made aware that Zombies were about to take over the world. Voted up the comments also:)
hmm...might just have to add to my "to do" list to promote my monster spokesperson ideas...that might make a good stand-alone article :P
O M F G -- they even have a graphic novel now!!
